Which civilizations can I play as? |
In campaign mode you mainly control
the Roman Empire, in some occasions
backed up by Barbarian tribes or
Egyptian allies. In skirmish and
multiplayer mode you can play as the
civilization you prefer.

Is there a multiplayer mode? |
Yes. In Praetorians you can choose out
of 16 multiplayer maps allowing up to
8 players fighting for the glory of
the Empire. You can play as the
Barbarians, Egyptians and the Romans.
You can connect via LAN, GameSpy and
an IP address.

for both a single- as a multiplayer

What units are there? |
Each civilization has a wide
collection of historic units each with
its own abilities and weaknesses
offering a game with great strategical
depth. For a complete list please see
our Civilizations page.

What siege weapons are there? |
Each civilization basicly has the same
siege weapons, the only difference is
the weapons' skin. Descriptions can be
found in the civilizations page as
well.

What does the AI have in store? |
Enemy forces will have a look at the
situation before they attack, they
will try to take advantage of the
landscape, i.e. by hiding in densly
forested areas or getting to higher
grounds to have a better view of the
battlefield and sneaking past you
unnoticed (to attack you from
different directions.) They will try
to flee if outnumbered and call for
aid if possible.

What kind of engine does Praetorians use? |
The Praetorians uses a 3D engine,
unfortunately only rotateable over the
vertical axle.

How many missions are there? |
There are 24 singleplayer missions and
16 skirmish/multiplayer maps.
|

What genre is Praetorians? |
It is a Real Time Strategy game, also
knows as RTS.
